I would assume that the promotion is a buy three, get one free deal. The limited time offer would that if you buy three during the weekend, you get one free, giving you four new tabs total. After the birthday event, you would have to pay for all four.

*shrug* That's my guess.

thanks for the update, pansy. That's the first direct comment regarding the 4th Anniversary Content that I know of. Any......it's not a confirmation.

Honestly if it's all finished (and why wouldn't it be if it *COULD* be released tomorrow), why not roll it all in together simultaneously? What better way to kick of the big 4th Bday?

Initially I read it like this:
- for a limited time you can get one extra tab for free. I thought through a contest (bring 8 Char carvings etc.)
- in addition you can buy up to 4 additional tabs for 10 bucks each

Re-reading the 'for a limited time offer' - it sounds more like a buy 4 - get 5 offer. This would really suck.

April's update already came. This is a quarterly update, said to be released sometime in April. There's a difference.

I don't know, that's just it, I'm hoping like hell people will buy this and Anet will make enough money off it to support GW2 financing and to hopefully throw some dough towards GW to keep all of us interested.

Yet to me it seems Anet needs some Moola (pun intended) in order to keep things going or else they would not have turned this into a purchasable item.

Bye the way, I'm in full support of this. I'd like a little more for my money, but if they give us the storage space and fix the lag issue with the money made from this little adventure. It will make me happy enough.

yeah exactly. i think the word promotion kinda means a way to get you to buy something (i promote my product, you buy it) sometimes that's a buy one get one free or a half off sale or whatever

I doubt it will be a contest or ingame content related promotion.
I think it will be either based on buying something (buy 1 get 1 free, or worse), it may be given for free to all accounts that own Prophecies+Faction+Nightfall+EotN, with a limited time of say 1 month to get them all for those who don't have them yet.

Or it may be as simple as registering for their newsletter, so you can receive the code by email (and then some ncsoft emails about Aion/Lineage2/CoX/GW2 beta

and stuff like that)

First time I read it I thought it was free, but after re-reading it a few times, it sure sounds like buy 3-4 and get one free. That's how limited time promotions usually are.
